Project Description and Maven’s Role
The City of Richmond is responsible for a range of municipal infrastructure within the City’s limits including sanitary, storm, water, road, and dike, and street lighting assets. Construction engineering inspections are provided to monitor the quality of materials and workmanship on City capital construction projects, and subdivision developments. City Inspectors ensure that works were completed in accordance with contract documents, design drawings, Master Municipal Construction Documents (MMCD) and City Supplemental Specifications.
Maven’s role provided the City with qualified field representatives to inspect underground utilities, ditch infills, dike construction, culvert and bridge installations and other similar projects on the City’s behalf. Maven worked directly with City engineers, operations crews, contractors, and vendors to represent the owner’s interests on the projects.
