Project Description and Maven’s Role
FortisBC will produce renewable natural gas (RNG) from its first project in Northern BC, teaming up with the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George to produce RNG from landfill gas generated at the Foothills Boulevard Regional Landfill, located in Prince George. FortisBC expects to produce approximately 90,000 gigajoules of RNG a year from this project over its 20-year contract, starting in 2025. This is enough energy to meet the annual natural gas needs of approximately 1,000 homes in BC. This is one in a series of RNG projects currently under development at FortisBC.
Maven provides complete Project Control services for FortisBC Renewable Natural Gas projects including current development of AACE Class 3 and 4 estimates. As a long-term partner, our Project Controls team works directly with the client’s Management Team to provide Cost, Schedule and Risk Management.
We are involved in the projects from the preliminary design stage, to support early project development and planning.
