This April, the Maven team laced up and joined tens of thousands of participants at the 2026 Vancouver Sun Run, Canada’s largest 10K road race, held in Vancouver every year on the third or fourth Sunday in April since 1985.
What began in 1985 with roughly 3,700 runners has grown into one of the biggest running events in North America, drawing more than 50,000 registrants in peak years. The course winds through downtown Vancouver and neighborhoods like False Creek, Kitsilano, and Fairview before finishing outside BC Place Stadium, with live music and cheering crowds lining the streets along the way.
This year marked the 42nd annual running of the race, presented by Herbaland Naturals — and the Maven team was out in full force, representing with energy and enthusiasm from start to finish.
A few well-deserved recognitions for our Maven crew:
- MVP (Most Valuable Participant): Mohsen Ghaemian, for outstanding spirit, pushing through, and showing incredible determination.
- Fastest Runner: Henry Hsu, blazing through the course with an impressive finishing time.
- Team Spirit Award: Graham Carter, for bringing the hype, positivity, and motivation that carried the whole group.
Beyond the race itself, the Sun Run has long been known for its inclusive spirit and commitment to promoting health, fitness, and community engagement across British Columbia — values that line up perfectly with why Maven loves getting involved every year.
